Job summary

Versar Global Solutions seeks a senior program specialist to support US Space Force basing and beddown initiatives. You will translate mission requirements into facility and infrastructure documents and draft DD1391s for MILCON/FSRM programs to implement Approved Basing Decisions.

You will develop Class 4 and 5 estimates, support expanded planning and architectural analysis, and prepare staff packages with executive summaries and white papers for senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, or planning with 10+ years’ DoD/DAF experience.
• Facilities project execution and oversight experience in DoW.
• Experience developing Class 4 and 5 estimates.
• HQ experience with staffing approval packages for facility requirements.
• Civil Engineer experience in USAF/USSF preferred.
• Secret clearance required.
• Proficient in English (written and verbal).
• Preemployment screenings: federal background, MVR, drug screen.
• Authorized to work in the US.

Job description

Who You Are:

This position supports U.S. Space Force (USSF) providing strategic basing and beddown support services. This entails providing DAF strategic basing experience and expertise and applies advanced engineering/architecture, infrastructure analysis, and evaluate, plan and execute the beddown of military units, weapon systems, and mission-critical assets.

What You Will Do:

• Translate mission requirements to facility and infrastructure requirement documents with cost estimates and draft DD1391s for Military Construction (MILCON) and/or Facility Sustainment, Restoration, and Modernization (FSRM) programs to implement Approved Basing Decisions.
• Provide support to U.S. Space Force (USSF) strategic basing initiatives through the development of Class 4 and/or 5 cost estimates and execution of expanded planning, engineering, and architectural analysis.
• Prepare high impact staff packages, including summary sheets, presentations, congressional responses, and white papers, integrating technical inputs from the assigned engineer and architect to inform senior leadership decisions and promote transparency across stakeholders.

What You Will Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, or planning discipline, and a minimum of 10 years’ experience with a broad knowledge of DAF and DoD corporate processes, USSF/S4 strategic partnerships including OSD, HAF, SAF/IE, AF/A4C, AFIMSC, AFCEC.
• Facilities project execution and oversight experience in DoW.
• Specific experience with developing Class 4 and 5 estimates.
• Headquarters experience with staffing approval packages for facility requirements.
• Civil Engineer experience in the U.S. Air Force or U.S. Space Force highly desired.
• Secret clearance required.
• Must be proficient in English, both written and verbal, to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
• Successful results of preemployment screenings, including federal background check, MVR, and drug screen.
• Comply with company drug and alcohol policy.
• Be authorized to work in the US or will be authorized by the successful candidate’s start date.

Compensation

Expected Salary: $100,000 - $110,000

Location Requirements

The position will be hybrid with 3 days a week onsite at the Pentagon, Washington, DC.
