Job summary

Versar Global Solutions supports the U.S. Space Force with strategic basing and beddown services. The role delivers advanced engineering/architecture analysis, cost estimates, and staff package preparation to inform senior leadership decisions. A Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years’ experience with DoD processes are required, along with a US-friendly security clearance. The position is hybrid with Pentagon onsite work three days a week.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, or planning discipline and 10+ years of experience with DAF/DoD processes.
  • Experience developing Class 4 and 5 estimates for MILCON or FSRM.
  • Secret clearance is required and English proficiency is mandatory.

Responsibilities

  • Translate mission requirements into facility and infrastructure requirement documents with cost estimates and MILCON/FSRM DD1391s.
  • Develop Class 4/5 cost estimates and support expanded planning, engineering, and architectural analysis for USSF basing initiatives.
  • Prepare high-impact staff packages (summaries, presentations, congressional responses, white papers) for senior leadership decisions.

Who You Are:

This position supports U.S. Space Force (USSF) providing strategic basing and beddown support services. This entails providing DAF strategic basing experience and expertise and applies advanced engineering/architecture, infrastructure analysis, and evaluate, plan and execute the beddown of military units, weapon systems, and mission-critical assets.

WhatYou’ll Do:

  • Translate mission requirements to facility and infrastructure requirement documents with cost estimates and draft DD1391s for Military Construction (MILCON) and/or Facility Sustainment, Restoration, and Modernization (FSRM) programs to implement Approved Basing Decisions.
  • Provide support to U.S. Space Force (USSF) strategic basing initiatives through the development of Class 4 and/or 5 cost estimates and execution of expanded planning, engineering, and architectural analysis.
  • Prepare high impact staff packages, including summary sheets, presentations, congressional responses, and white papers, integrating technical inputs from the assigned engineer and architect to inform senior leadership decisions and promote transparency across stakeholders.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, or planning discipline, and a minimum of 10 years’ experience with a broad knowledge of DAF and DoD corporate processes, USSF/S4 strategic partnerships including OSD, HAF, SAF/IE, AF/A4C, AFIMSC, AFCEC.
  • Facilities project execution and oversight experience in DoW.
  • Specific experience with developing Class 4 and 5 estimates.
  • Headquarters experience with staffing approval packages for facility requirements.
  • Civil Engineer experience in the U.S. Air Force or U.S. Space Force highly desired.
  • Secret clearance required.
  • Must be proficient in English, both written and verbal, to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Successful results of preemployment screenings, including federal background check, MVR, and drug screen.
  • Comply with company drug and alcohol policy.
  • Be authorized to work in the US or will be authorized by the successful candidate’s start date.

Compensation

Expected Salary: $100,000 - $110,000

Versar Global Solutions provides the compensation range and general description of other compensation and benefits that the Company in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities in addition to internal equity and geographic location. The Company reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant’s status protected by local, state, and federal law.

Location Requirements

The position will be hybrid with 3 days a week onsite at the Pentagon, Washington, DC.
