Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking a Software Engineer to advance manufacturing software platforms, enabling real‑time analysis and decision support for spaceflight programs. You will lead full‑stack development using React, Python, AWS, and modern frameworks while mentoring teammates.

Responsibilities include building tools for automation, designing enterprise‑scale services, and integrating MTConnect/OPC UA/MQTT data with MES/ERP/QMS/PLM systems. A strong focus on DevOps and security is required.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong full‑stack principles and translating domain knowledge into apps.
• Proficiency in Python/JavaScript/TypeScript/C#/Java.
• Experience with React, Python, AWS, FastAPI, Spring Boot and Node.js.
• Experience with IoT Core, ELB, Lambda, CloudWatch, S3, Docker, Kubernetes, Datadog.
• Experience in event‑driven messaging (MQTT, Kafka, Kinesis) and APIs.
• Cloud expertise across AWS/Azure/GCP; GitOps and IaC (Terraform/CF).
• Solid version control and lifecycle management; strong collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Develop tools and apps enabling manufacturing to automate processes.
• Design and deploy enterprise‑scale systems and services for operations.
• Build machine connectivity data pipelines using MTConnect/OPC UA/MQTT; integrate MES/ERP/QMS/PLM data.
• Leverage AI tools to enhance capabilities and automate workflows.
• Create documentation for enterprise integrations and APIs.
• Build web apps and APIs for scheduling, dispatch, and issue resolution.
• Adopt DevOps, containerize edge/cloud services, automate deployments, ensure observability.
• Uphold safety and security for industrial networks and equipment.
