The Aerospace Corporation is seeking a Space Systems Engineer to support USSF System Delta 810 and weather programs from our Los Angeles facility. The role emphasizes V&V, risk management, and communication with customers and leadership.

Ideal candidates will have 6+ years in space systems, a STEM degree, and the ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance. Travel around 25% and on-site work at LA AFB in El Segundo are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, math or related STEM field.
• 6+ years of experience in Space Systems Engineering.
• Experience in verification and validation (V&V) of space and ground systems.
• Experience in risk management of space and ground acquisition programs.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.
• Willing to travel approximately 25% (as required).
• 12+ years of experience in space and ground systems engineering.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to USSF, System Delta 810.
• Ensure successful acquisition of WSF-M, EWS, and other programs.
• Perform independent risk assessments and maintain the internal risk framework.
• Communicate clearly with customers and Aerospace leadership.
