Job summary

Actalent in Wilmington, MA is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Manager to lead the end-to-end technical execution of a major electronic development effort. You will mentor a team of engineers and oversee design, analysis, prototyping, integration, and testing of space-qualified electronics.

The role requires a strong background in electronic system development, leadership, and budget oversight, plus the ability to work with cross-functional partners and maintain hardware integrity

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 10+ years of relevant engineering experience, including 2+ years in a leadership or project lead role.
• Strong background in electronic system development; space-grade or high-reliability hardware experience is a plus.
• Proven leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Experience with cost account management and budget oversight.
• Expertise in design fundamentals, PCB development, and test methodologies.
• Active U.S. security clearance (U.S. citizenship required).
• Ability to obtain additional government clearances as needed.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and develop a team of Electrical Engineers.
• Oversee design, analysis, prototyping, integration, and testing of space-qualified electronics.
• Ensure hardware integrity through comprehensive verification processes.
• Manage engineering schedules, resource planning, and milestone execution.
• Coordinate closely with Cognizant Engineers, systems engineering, and cross-functional partners.
• Manage project budgets and performance (EVMS/CAM), seeking efficiencies and cost reduction opportunities.
• Drive engineering process improvements to enhance quality, speed, and robustness.
• Support customer engagements, technical presentations, and major design reviews.
