Job summary

Karman Space & Defense is seeking a Program Manager I in South El Monte, CA to oversee the successful execution of customer programs. You will coordinate project activities, track progress, and maintain program documentation, working closely with cross-functional teams to meet objectives, timelines, and budgets.

The role emphasizes strong planning, detailed communication, and the ability to manage stakeholder expectations while ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the program lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Adequate planning and follow-up experience as determined by management.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and written and verbal communication.
• Ability to effectively interact with customers, staff, and all levels of management.
• Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience reading and interpreting blueprints.
• Self-motivated with an understanding of the urgency associated with customer performance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates project activities to align with objectives.
• Assists in developing and maintaining project schedules, timelines, and milestones.
• Coordinates with cross-functional teams to facilitate communication, monitor progress, and address project issues.
• Maintains customer-required program schedules and updates them as needed.
• Monitors project status and escalates concerns to support customer satisfaction and program success.
• Maintains program documentation including status reports, meeting notes, action items, and related records.
• Assists in tracking project budgets and supports efficient use of financial resources.
• Participates in stakeholder meetings to provide updates and gather feedback.
• Analyses challenges and supports problem-solving efforts to keep projects on track.
• Performs additional program support duties as assigned.
