Job summary

Axiom Space seeks a bold Data Analyst Intern to explore the stories behind numbers. You will join the Digital Integration team in Houston, working on data pipelines, KPI definitions, and governance. You’ll gain hands-on experience with a production analytics platform while building a portfolio of real work.

The role is onsite in Houston, TX from June 1 to August 20, with mentorship from senior staff and opportunities to present to IT leadership.

Qualifications

Rising junior/senior or graduate student pursuing relevant field.
GPA 3.0 or higher.
Coursework or project experience with SQL and data analysis tools.
Working knowledge of Excel; VBA is a plus.
Exposure to Power BI or Tableau; cloud data platforms such as AWS.

Responsibilities

Supports validation of data during pipeline modernization and documents discrepancies.
Tests Power BI reports after dataset changes and logs results.
Documents KPI definitions, business logic, and DAX measures.
Builds and maintains a data dictionary covering tables and sources.
Develops Power BI dashboards for internal stakeholders under supervision.
Assists with UAT by writing test cases and gathering feedback.
Presents a summary of work to team and IT leadership.
Performs additional duties as assigned.
