Job summary

Axiom Space in Houston, Texas is seeking a curious Data Analyst Intern to support the Digital Integration team in modernizing data pipelines and validating data across KPI layers. You will gain hands-on experience with production analytics tools and contribute to Git-ready dashboards using Power BI.

You will be mentored by senior staff and build a portfolio of real work to showcase in future interviews. This internship runs June 1 to August 20 and is onsite in Houston.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in MIS, CS, Data Science, Statistics, Math, Eng, or related field
• GPA 3.0 or higher
• Coursework or project experience with SQL

Responsibilities

• Supports validation of data as pipelines are modernized and documents discrepancies
• Tests Power BI reports after dataset changes and logs results
• Documents KPI definitions, business logic, and DAX measures in a central reference
• Builds and maintains a data dictionary covering tables, fields, grain, and source mappings
• Reviews data quality exception reports and summarizes findings for the team
• Develops Power BI dashboards or report pages for internal stakeholders under review by a senior member
• Supports user acceptance testing by writing test cases and gathering feedback
• Presents a summary of work to the team and IT leadership at internship end
• Performs additional duties as assigned
