Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation seeks a Project Engineer – Cyber Security Architecture and Information Systems Security for on-site work at El Segundo, CA or Lackland AFB, TX. You will identify and lead cryptographic projects to support secure DoD space communications, collaborating across Space Force and DoD partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science or higher degree in engineering, physics, mathematics, computer science or other technical field.
• Eight years of relevant professional experience in scientific or engineering positions.
• Experience with cybersecurity solutions, network security, or cryptographic products.
• Familiarity with space cryptographic solutions and operations, acquisitions or certification.
• Experience with systems engineering topics including requirements engineering, verification, testing, and risk management.
• Willing to travel periodically, as needed.
• Current TS/SCI clearance with ability to obtain additional clearances; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Analyze system requirements and threats to identify protection options for data and communications.
• Coordinate across customers and technical resources to support cryptographic solutions.
• Coordinate implementation of cryptographic and key management requirements for space programs.
• Analyze design trade space related to environmental, trust, and cybersecurity issues.
• Coordinate results across Space Force, HQ CCC, CCSD, NSA, and other DoD components.
• Develop security risk assessments and perform systems engineering tasks.
