Blue Origin is seeking an Integrated Communications Director (Principal) to serve as an embedded communications partner across a business unit. You will own internal and external communications strategy, manage launches and program milestones, and handle crisis communications.

Qualifications

This is an on-site, in-office role with occasional travel.
Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, or public relations is strongly preferred.
10+ years of experience in public relations, integrated communications, or journalism.

Responsibilities

Serve as embedded communications partner and beat lead for your program area.
Develop media relations launch strategies for rockets and crises.
Lead internal communications ensuring employees are informed and engaged.
Create proactive story ideas highlighting achievements and mission impact.
Oversee media events, briefings, and serve as spokesperson for inquiries.
Coordinate crisis communications policies and messaging with cross-functional teams.
Lead crisis responses and ensure timely, accurate communications.
Grow relationships with key media outlets and influencers.
Write and copy-edit content for press releases, social media, and internal comms.
