Rocket Lab is seeking a graphic/brand designer to create visuals from mission patches to merchandise, working with the Brand Design Lead and cross-functional teams. Based onsite in Long Beach, CA or Auckland, NZ, you’ll lead concepts from ideation to execution and push for high-impact, on-brand visuals.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional graphic design experience and a bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of work experience.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) is required.
• Experience developing merchandise and swag and working with vendors through production.
• Understanding of typography, layout, color theory, and visual hierarchy.

Responsibilities

• Design high-quality graphics for digital platforms, print materials, presentations, and event activations.
• Develop compelling visual concepts translating aerospace tech into accessible content.
• Create branded assets for product launches, campaigns, and corporate communications.
• Support production of video content, motion graphics, and social assets.
• Manage multiple projects while preserving Rocket Lab brand consistency.
• Collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders for seamless execution of creative work.
• Contribute to evolution of Rocket Lab's visual identity as the company grows.
• Design mission patches, vehicle livery, and other aerospace applications.
• Maintain organized asset libraries and design systems.
