Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Lead Graphic Designer for Merchandising and Events to lead product design, branding, and event collateral. You will collaborate with engineering and cross-functional teams to deliver innovative merchandise and compelling event materials that reflect SpaceX’s mission.

The role requires strong portfolio in apparel, patches, and consumer goods, plus 8+ years in product and merchandise design. Expect a dynamic, fast-paced environment with travel for events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in design or related field required.
• 5+ years of professional design experience in illustration, graphic design, or print production.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the merchandise team to design new products aligned with milestones.
• Design gifting items, mission patches, and event-specific gifts.
• Own the product design process from concept to production hand-off.
• Work with customer team to design mission patches and provide multiple file types.
• Create tech packs, fit charts, color standards, and fabric specs.
• Assist website team to refine merchandise store visuals.
• Develop graphics and layouts for social, web, and print.
• Manage multiple projects and meet deadlines under pressure.
• Prepare designs for production with printer and vendor specs.
• Contribute to brand identity through merchandising and marketing.
• Collaborate with marketing on campaigns as needed
