The role delivers ISD-aligned lessons, labs, and assessments, integrating real-world missile and orbital scenarios to support decision‑making and assessment of learner proficiency. A TS/SCI clearance is required, with on-site work and minimal telework.

Qualifications

• Education: Master’s in Space Operations, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, Systems Engineering, or related field; OR a bachelor’s degree with 8 years of experience.
• Experience: 8–10 years in space operations, missile warning, air/missile defense, or related DoD domain.
• Certifications: Space Operations or Missile Warning qualification training; instructor qualifications desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop, qualify on, and deliver course materials aligned with ISD/ADDIE and DoD/USSF doctrine.
• Instruct SDA and Missile Warning/Tracking content at OTC in-residence at Peterson SFB.
• Integrate real-world scenarios to support decision-making exercises and assessments.
• Support simulation-based training and operational vignettes development.
• Coordinate with Contract Task Lead and government personnel; participate in reviews and continuous improvement.

Delta Solutions & Strategies is seeking a Space Battle Management Instructor. We are looking for a highly motived individual to instruct, develop, validate, and maintain Space Domain Awareness (SDA) and Missile Warning and Tracking course material at the 319th Combat Training Squadron (CTS) at Peterson SFB, CO in support of the USSF Office Training Cours (OTC).

What you will be doing:

• Develop, qualify on, and deliver course materials (lessons, labs, and assessments) aligned with Instructional Systems Design (ISD/ADDIE) principles and applicable DoD/USSF doctrine
• Develop, maintain, and instruct content covering Space Domain Awareness and Missile Warning and Tracking at the in-residence OTC at Peterson SFB
• Integrate real-world scenarios involving missile launches, orbital events, and adversary actions to support decision-making exercises
• Be prepared to support development of simulation-based training and operational vignettes
• Interface with internal and external agencies to ensure course content reflects current doctrine, threat intelligence, and operational practices
• Coordinate instructional activities with Contract Task Lead and government personnel
• Support periodic graduation exercises as required
• Develop assessments to measure student proficiency against learning objectives
• Ensure course materials comply with classification guidance and operational security requirements
• Participate in course reviews, validation events, and continuous improvement efforts
• Additional duties as assigned
• Work on-site - minimal telework authorized

What you will need:

• Knowledge of Space Situational Awareness (SSA) and SDA, including tracking systems, sensor networks, and object characterization
• Understanding of missile warning systems, including space-based infrared architectures, launch detection, and threat reporting processes
• Familiarity with key systems and frameworks supporting missile warning and SSA (e.g., OPIR systems, ground-based radar integration, and data fusion processes)
• Ability to teach operational decision‑making in time‑sensitive, high‑consequence environments
• Knowledge of joint and combined operations, including integration with air, maritime, space, and cyber domains
• Familiarity with Joint Doctrine, Service Doctrine, to include Joint Publications
• Strong instructional capability to translate complex operational concepts into structured, measurable learning objectives
• Effective communication skills for remote instruction and learner engagement
• Active or current Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility required

Education and Required Experience:

• Education: Master’s degree from an accredited institution in Space Operations, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, Systems Engineering, or related field; OR a bachelor’s degree and 8 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted
• Years of Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in space operations, missile warning, air/missile defense, or related DoD operational domain
• Preferred Certifications: Space Operations or Missile Warning qualification training (USSF/USAF or equivalent)
• Instructor certifications (e.g., military instructor qualification)
