Job Description

The pay for this position is $23/hour plus 10% shift difference. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/commission based on the plan. Posting is expected to close 8/31/26.

Basic Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED equivalency.
  • 1 year manufacturing experience.
  • Intermediate understanding of blueprint and process sheet interpretation.
  • Ability and willingness to use basic hand tools (crimpers, soldering iron, wire strippers, brazing equipment, etc.) and measuring devices (calipers, micrometers, rulers, etc.).
  • Ability and willingness to operate high‑temperature ovens and furnaces.
  • Ability and willingness to pass Visual Acuity Exam as necessary.
  • Ability and willingness to obtain Solder, Braze, and Electro‑Static discharge certification as required.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
  • Assemble parts according to process sheet/print instructions.
  • Perform electrical, mechanical, magnetic testing as required (i.e., dielectric, meggar, hipot, etc.).
  • Perform in‑process hi‑pot testing; perform basic set up of fixtures.
  • Perform vapor blasting as required; perform inventory counts and verification. Assist with prototype or first‑time builds with guidance from higher‑level employees.
  • Assist Engineering and/or Team in development and/or improvement of layout procedures and process sheets.
  • Review expiration date of materials to ensure materials & equipment are current.
  • Proactively work to improve efficiency and quality of products; maintain good housekeeping skills.
  • Possess inspection stamp as required; utilize proper PPE, safety equipment, and follow safety procedures.
  • Cros‑train other employees as needed based on knowledge and experience. Complyingly complete all written and/or electronic labor tracking documentation.
  • Perform basic Oracle transactions as required.
  • Report problems to appropriate resource and/or Coach.
  • Keep all shift operators informed on special problems involving operation or set up.
  • Communicate with team to ensure all team members are aware of new processes and/or issues. May interact with internal cross‑functional teams (i.e., planning).
  • Perform troubleshooting responsibilities.
  • Participate in and support team initiatives.
  • Utilize proper PPE, safety equipment, and follow safety procedures per position requirements.
  • Understand and abide by the GE Behaviors.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • 1‑3 years manufacturing experience.
  • Assembly, solder experience and/or electronics manufacturing experience.
  • Experience in a self‑directed teaming environment; familiarity with 5S & lean manufacturing knowledge.
Physical Demands
  • Ability to continuously use hands and fingers in repetition.
  • Ability to occasionally bend, stoop, twist, crouch, squat, climb, and/or balance.
  • Ability to continuously sit; ability to occasionally lift to 20 lbs.; ability to push/pull up to 22 lbs.
