Job Summary
Position: Electronics Manufacturing Technician
Location: GE Aerospace – Manufacturing Facility
Basic Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalency
- 1 year manufacturing experience
- Intermediate understanding of blueprint and process sheet interpretation
- Ability to use basic hand tools (crimpers, soldering iron, wire strippers, brazing equipment, etc.) and measuring devices (calipers, micrometers, rulers, etc.)
- Ability to operate high‑temperature ovens and furnaces
- Ability to pass a Visual Acuity Exam as required
- Ability to obtain Solder, Braze, and Electro‑Static Discharge certification as required
Desired Qualifications
- 1–3 years manufacturing experience
- Experience in assembly, soldering, and/or electronics manufacturing
- Experience in a self‑directed teaming environment with familiarity of 5S and lean manufacturing principles
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Assemble parts according to process sheet and print instructions
- Execute electrical, mechanical, and magnetic testing (e.g., dielectric, meggar, hipot)
- Perform in‑process hi‑pot testing and basic fixture setup
- Carry out vapor blasting as required and perform inventory counts and verification
- Assist in prototype or first‑time builds under guidance of senior employees
- Support engineering and team in developing and improving layout procedures and process sheets
- Verify material expiration dates to ensure current materials and equipment
- Identify and implement improvements to efficiency and product quality
- Maintain good housekeeping and safe working practices, using PPE and safety equipment as required
- Cross‑train other employees based on knowledge and experience
- Complete all labor tracking documentation accurately and timely
- Perform basic Oracle transactions as needed
- Report issues to the appropriate resource or coach and keep shift operators aware of special problems
- Communicate new processes and issues with the team
- Interact with cross‑functional internal teams (e.g., planning) as required
- Execute troubleshooting responsibilities and support team initiatives
Physical Demands
Continuous hand and finger use; occasional bending, stooping, twisting, crouching, squatting, climbing, and/or balancing; continuous sitting; occasional lifting up to 20lb.; pushing/pulling up to 22lb.

- Base pay: $23.00 per hour plus 10% shift differential
