Job summary

Seneca Gaming Corporation is seeking a Spa & Salon Manager to oversee all spa and salon operations, drive guest satisfaction, and coordinate equipment, facilities and personnel to deliver exceptional service.

You will manage budgets, interview and supervise staff, ensure compliance with health, safety and information security policies, and maintain a positive work environment on a 24‑hour schedule.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Licensed cosmetologist, massage therapist or esthetician in New York State.
• 4–5 years spa/salon management experience or equivalent education/experience.
• Proficient computer skills and financial budgeting knowledge.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Establish and implement standards and procedures to ensure the highest level of guest service.
• Prepare and manage budgets and ensure compliance with established budgets.
• Prepare ongoing detailed management and operational analysis; oversees and ensures operational functions and proper staffing, including employee retention.
• Interview, hire, train, schedule, appraise and supervise all directly assigned personnel
• Research new and innovative ways of improving guest satisfaction and work applications.
• Direct investigation into causes of customer complaints and employee issues and responds accordingly.
• Adhere to Purchasing, HR, and TERO compliance requirements.
• Enforce compliance with administrative policies, procedures, safety rules and health regulations.
• Promote positive public/employee relations at all times.
• Maintain a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility.
• Maintain a current understanding of all policy and guidelines regarding information security including the Seneca Gaming Corporation Acceptable Use Policy. Understand and comply with all information security policies and procedures at all times.
• Provide exceptional customer service to all patrons and communicate in a pleasant, friendly and professional manner at all times. Maintain a professional work environment with supervisors, managers and staff.
• Meet the attendance guidelines of the job and adhere to regulatory, departmental and company policies.
• Must complete all required SGC Training programs within nine (9) months from commencement of employment.
• Attend all necessary meetings.
• Duties, responsibilities, requirements and expectations pertaining to this job are subject to change as needed. Hours are determined by a 24-hour schedule.

The Spa & Salon Manager, either personally or through subordinates, manages or coordinates the activities of the Spa and Salon to obtain optimum use of the equipment, facilities and personnel. All duties are to be performed within the guidelines of the Seneca Gaming Corporation's policies and procedures, Internal Control Standards and objectives.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

Education/Experience :

1. Must be 18 years of age or older upon employment.

2. High school diploma or equivalent required.

3. Four (4) to five (5) years of spa and/or salon management experience or an equivalent combination of experience and/or education.

4. Must be a licensed cosmetologist, massage therapist or esthetician in New York State.

5. Must possess the financial knowledge necessary to assist in the creation of and adherence to departmental budgets.

6. Must have proficient computer skills.

2. Ability to write routine correspondence and to speak effectively to the public, employees and customers.

3. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.

Salary Starting Rate:

$58,883.30

Compensation is negotiable based on experience and education.

Each position has varying minimum qualifications. In the absence of fully qualified candidates, some requirements may be waived.
