Job summary

Acqualina Resort & Residences on the Beach seeks a spa therapist to deliver customized skincare and body treatments while educating guests on home care products. You will uphold the five-star spa culture with superior guest relations across all areas of the facility.

Required are a high school diploma and a Florida massage license, plus strong communication skills and the ability to work with a diverse team in a luxury hospitality setting.

Qualifications

• High school graduate and Florida massage license from an accredited school.
• Provide legible communication and directions.
• Compute basic mathematical calculations (add, subtract, multiply and divide numbers).
• Fluency in a second language preferred (Spanish, Portuguese or Russian).
• Experience in hospitality industry in a similar position.

Responsibilities

JOB OVERVIEW

The provider is responsible for ensuring positive and friendly guest relations at all times with both internal and external guests as is expected of Acqualina Spa Five Star culture. Customizing skincare and body needs based on individual clients utilizing protocols, in addition to educating all guests on home care products as needed for healthier skin.

Operations Manager/Spa Director

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Job involves working: Main: locker rooms, relaxation areas, SPA Pool Trace. Secondary: All spa areas
• While standing for up to 8 hours including stair climbing to access various locations within spa
• Lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds.
• Under variable temperature conditions (or extreme heat or cold)
• Under variable noise levels

KEY RELATIONSHIPS

Internal: Staff in Spa, Pool, Laundry, Housekeeping and Engineering.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school graduate.
• Current Florida license in Massage therapy from an accredited school.
• Provide legible communication and directions.
• Compute basic mathematical calculations (add, subtract, multiply and divide numbers).
• Ability to:

• Knowledge of Forbes 5 Star, LHW, AAA Five Diamond and ESPA standards.
