Job summary

Schulte Hospitality Group in Whitefield, New Hampshire, seeks a Spa Director (FT) for Mountain View Grand Resort & Spa to lead daily spa operations, drive guest satisfaction, and mentor a spa team. The role requires a hands-on leader with 2–3 years spa experience and at least 1 year in supervision.

You will oversee service standards, manage scheduling and budget elements, collaborate with marketing to boost bookings, ensure safety and licensing compliance, and explore new treatments to stay

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, business, wellness management or related field preferred.
• Minimum 2–3 years spa/wellness experience with at least 1 year in supervision.
• Experience with spa booking systems, inventory control and budget management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the spa to ensure high guest satisfaction and efficiency.
• Lead, train, and manage spa staff including therapists, technicians, and front desk team.
• Develop and implement spa service standards, procedures, and policies.
• Monitor revenue, labor costs, inventory, and budgets; generate reports.
• Coordinate marketing efforts with sales/marketing to drive bookings.
• Ensure safety, sanitation, and licensing compliance.
• Address guest concerns professionally and promptly.
• Evaluate new treatments and products based on industry trends and feedback.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee the daily operations of the spa to ensure a high level of guest satisfaction, operational efficiency, and team performance.
• Lead, train, and manage spa staff including therapists, technicians, and front desk team members; support hiring, onboarding, scheduling, and performance management.
• Develop and implement spa service standards, procedures, and policies to ensure consistency and excellence.
• Monitor financial performance, including revenue, labor costs, inventory, and budget adherence; generate and analyze reports to identify trends and opportunities.
• Coordinate marketing and promotional efforts in collaboration with the sales and marketing teams to drive bookings and retail sales.
• Ensure the spa maintains compliance with all safety, sanitation, and licensing requirements.
• Address and resolve guest concerns professionally and promptly to maintain service excellence.
• Evaluate and recommend new treatments, products, and service offerings based on industry trends and guest feedback.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's degree in hospitality, business, wellness management, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 2--3 years of experience in a spa or wellness environment, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or management role.
• Experience with spa booking systems, inventory control, and budget management required .

KNO WLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Strong leadership and team development skills with the ability to inspire and motivate staff.
• Excellent customer service, conflict resolution, and communication abilities.
• Knowledge of spa services, products, trends, and guest service best practices.
• Proficiency in spa or hotel management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong business acumen and analytical skills to track performance and drive results.
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as business needs dictate .
