Job description

About Us:

AIRE Ancient Baths are temples dedicated to the creation of the ultimate relaxation experience, where time does not exist. Inspired by the tradition of baths from ancient Roman, Greek, and Ottoman civilizations, the AIRE Experience always takes place in restored historical buildings in the center of globally acclaimed cities.

At AIRE we are proud to have an international presence with 9 established centers: Tribeca, Upper East Side, Chicago, London, Copenhagen, Barcelona, Sevilla, Almeria, and Vallromanes. We are already looking into the future and moving onwards, with our soon-to-be-opened Toronto 2025 facilities.

We are even prouder of the caring, inclusive, and familiar work environment we have created for all our employees.

Upper East Side Location:

Located among the high-rise blocks of the Upper East Side of The City That Never Sleeps, a forgotten building that used to be MOMA's art warehouse renovates itself to become an AIRE location with over 9,600 square feet. The old walls breathe the creativity from the thousands of pieces of art that once lived in its interior, through which now flows absolute relaxation, thanks to the baths at different temperatures and the six double massage rooms. The historic construction is also a residential building, making it the perfect opportunity to have relaxation at your fingertips.

The Role:

As Spa Attendant Supervisor, you will lead the team of Spa Attendants and provide premier quality service to guests. The Spa Attendant Supervisor will also work to maintain a consistent flow of general spa operations. You will collaborate with the Spa Attendant Manager to ensure performance standards are met and that shifts run effectively.

  • Create schedules based on bookings, staff availability, and scheduling requests.
  • Program client massage appointments into the center’s digital reservation tracking system.
  • Collaborate with staff in their daily duties, including: greet guests; check them in for services; provide facility tours.
  • Escort guests to their massage.
  • Provide excellent customer service when answering guest inquiries.
  • Conduct quality control, monitoring the facility using a critical eye and ear to assure standards are met.
  • Perform other additional duties and responsibilities upon the request of your Manager or Manager on Duty (MOD).

Who You Are:

  • Have a minimum of (2) years’ experience in a luxury spa setting; preferred.
  • Have at least (2) years of management experience; required.
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrate an exceptional customer service mentality.
  • Be enthusiastic, adaptive, and possess a high level of attention to detail/aesthetic.
  • Be able to prioritize, organize, and make appropriate judgment calls in a fast-paced environment.
  • Have the ability to stand for prolonged periods of time, bend, and lift up to (20) pounds.
  • Be exposed to noise, wet and humid conditions, fumes, odors, chemicals, mechanical, and electrical hazards.
  • Must be flexible with their schedule. Weekend and holiday hours will be required.
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish) is a plus.

Why You Should Join Us:

  • Pay: $24/hour + tips.
