Job summary

Fairmont Austin is seeking a guest‑focused Spa Attendant to join our luxury spa team in Austin, TX. You will assist in spa operations, prepare treatment rooms, and help guests enjoy saunas and wellness facilities.

The role emphasizes professional service, strong communication, and the ability to maintain high sanitary standards in a fast-paced hotel environment.

Qualifications

• To perform this job successfully, an individual should have strong guest service skills.
• Experience in spa or hospitality environments is preferred.
• Basic computer skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service.
• Assist in the operation of all spa departments and know all treatments.
• Maintain linen inventory and coordinate with laundry on a schedule.
• Direct members and guests to appointments and assist with sauna, steam, whirlpool usage.
• Prepare rooms for treatments according to guidelines.
• Keep the facility sanitary and report equipment issues.
• Maintain tidy locker rooms and stock amenities.
• Follow departmental policies and safety procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Description

Reporting to the Spa Director, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

• Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
• Assist in the operation of all spa departments and to have knowledge of all Spa treatments
• Maintain linen inventory to and from laundry on a scheduled basis
• Direct Members and Guests to appointments and assist them with the use of sauna, steam, whirlpool etc.
• Prepare rooms for treatments according to specified guidelines
• Maintain the facility in peak sanitary condition at all times and report any equipment deficiencies
• Maintain locker rooms in a tidy manner and ensure all amenities are stocked
• Follow departmental policies and procedures
• Follow all safety and sanitation policies
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Previous Spa or Hospitality experience preferred
• Bilingual is an asset
• Basic computer skills required
• Previous Spa or Hospitality experience preferred

• Highly responsible & reliable
• Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
