Job summary

21c Museum Hotels in St. Louis is seeking a Spa Concierge who will be the frontline voice and face of the spa, delivering the highest level of personalized service while maintaining a positive, enthusiastic, and professional attitude toward guests and team members.

Responsibilities

• Answer prospective guests' questions and accept reservations with professional telephone etiquette.
• Check in guests, answer questions, and handle requests calmly and courteously.
• Describe spa offerings and compare services to help guests choose.
• Upsell services and retail products aligned with guest needs.
• Provide beverage service and tour the spa facility.
• Maintain spa cleanliness and organization and assist with housekeeping duties.
• Process payments (cash, card, gift certificates, comps, room charges).
• Ensure timely start of guest services and participate in meetings and training.

Reports To:Spa Manager

General Purpose:TheSpa Concierge is thefrontlinevoice and face of the Spaanddeliversthe highest level of personalized service whilemaintaininga positive, enthusiastic,helpfuland professional attitude with all guests and team members.

Specific Responsibilities:

Answers prospective guests’ questions and accepts reservations, exercisingprofessional telephone etiquettewhenbooking appointments, handling guests’requestsand questions.

Checksin guests,answersquestions, and handlesguest requests and questions in a calm, professional, and courteous manner.

Communicatesand describesin an articulate manner the spa offerings and their benefits,comparingand contrastingthe different services on the menu.

Recommendsand up-sellsservices that fit the guests’ needs.

Recommends retail products with a command ofknowledge on all product lines.

Givestours and describesthe spa facility to all guests entering the facility.

Providesbeverage service to all guests.

Getsto know all guests that enter the Spa.

Complieswithrules and regulations for the safe and effective operation of the facility.

Maintainsspa facility by performing necessary housekeeping duties (picking up towels, cups, shower & bathroom area, vanityareaand all surrounding areas) asrequested.

Upholdsspa decor bymaintainingthe set-up and cleanliness of the area.

Ensuresguestsservices are started on time.

Processespaymentsascash,credit card, gift certificates,compsand room charge transactions.

Maintainsa clean, safe,stockedandwell organizedwork area.

Inventories and keepsproducts and supplieswell-stocked

Assistsin all areas of the spa operation as directed by management.

Assistswith special projects asrequested.

Participatesin scheduled meetings asrequested.

Receivesvarious servicesthat are offered onspamenu andserves as amodel for the training of new therapists when requested.

Due to the nature of the hospitality industry, team members maybe requiredtoworkvarying schedules,weekend, and holidays to reflect the needs of the facility.

Maintainsan understanding of the spa industry and spa philosophy (balance, relaxation, unity, and a healthy lifestyle).

Understandsthat as a representative of the Spait is essential tomaintaina healthy, fit appearance and a positive attitude.

Other duties as assigned by your supervisor or manager.

Qualifications

Education/Formal Training:

High school or equivalent educationrequired.

Physical requirements:

Must be able to stand up or sitdownup to 8 hours per day.Lengthof time of these tasks may vary.

Must be able to lift 15lbs occasionally.

Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, listening, hearing ability and visual acuity.

Speaking and listening occur continuouslyin the process of communicationwithguest, management, and team members.

Vision occurs continuously with the most common visual functions being those of near vision and depth perception.

Must be able tooperateoffice equipment such as computers,printer, multi touch tone phones, filingcabinet, fax machines,photocopiersand other office equipment.
