Overview of the Role:

The Spa Attendant/Front Desk Agent is responsible for assisting spa staff to deliver a unique and outstanding experience to members and guests. This role includes scheduling appointments, guest check-in/out, and supporting retail sales.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous service to all guests, members, and colleagues.
  2. Greet and welcome all guests and members.
  3. Check guests and members in and out; administer keys to locker areas.
  4. Process transactions related to events, guest fees, memberships, dues, etc.
  5. Handle administrative functions including using Spa software, maintaining supplies, answering phones, scheduling appointments, and responding to inquiries.
  6. Serve as the primary source of information about spa services, procedures, treatments, equipment, and products to ensure guest comfort.
  7. Assist guests with retail purchases.
  8. Arrange spa appointments for various services and packages.
  9. Monitor appointments and ensure proper staffing for efficiency.
  10. Assist guests with spa prescriptions.
  11. Prepare the facility for opening and closing daily.
  12. Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the facilities, ensuring all amenities are functional.
  13. Provide spa tours as needed.

Qualifications:

Job Requirements:

  • Availability 2-3 days per week, especially weekends.
  • Work 6-8 hours per day, up to 20 hours per week.

Fundamental Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent; 1-year experience in a spa or related field preferred.
  • At least 1-year retail experience preferred.
  • Bi-lingual skills preferred.
  • Flexibility for long hours as needed.
  • Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and 25 pounds frequently.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to listen, understand, and clarify concerns.
  • Multitasking and prioritization skills.
  • Attentiveness, friendliness, courtesy, and service orientation in all interactions.
  • Attendance at required meetings and trainings.
  • Maintain high personal grooming standards and uniform compliance.
  • Adherence to hotel standards and safety regulations.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to understand and apply complex information.
  • Cross-training in other hotel areas preferred.
  • Maintain confidentiality of information.
  • Show initiative and anticipate needs.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Maintain a friendly, warm demeanor at all times.
  • Hygiene is critical; no smoking on hands, clothes, or breath during shifts.
