Job summary

The Cigna Group is seeking a Financial Compliance Advisor to strengthen SOX and SOC 1 controls across Evernorth. You will partner with control owners to design and document internal controls and coordinate with IT compliance on technology controls, ensuring readiness for audits and timely remediation of deficiencies.

This role offers collaboration with audit teams, cross-functional work, and opportunities to influence risk management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 3–5 years in SOX/internal controls/audit/risk.
• CPA, CISA or CIA strongly preferred.
• Proficient in Word, Excel and Visio.
• Strong communication and cross-functional skills.

Responsibilities

• Support design of internal controls commensurate with significant financial statement risk.
• Document controls and assist remediation activities.
• Collaborate with IT compliance on technology controls.
• Liaise with auditors and control owners for testing readiness.
• Map compensating controls and identify root causes.
• Support initiatives impacting financial controls and maintain partner relationships.
