Job summary

SOMERSET STAFFING is seeking a SOX Project Manager to lead compliance across IT and business projects from Torrance, CA. The role requires coordinating with governance, audit, and compliance teams to ensure SOX controls are embedded throughout project lifecycles.

The successful candidate will drive control testing, evidence collection, and remediation planning while maintaining project governance artifacts and aligning with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience leading SOX compliance programs across IT and business projects.
• Strong knowledge of ITGC, ITAC, APD, PGC, COP controls.
• Ability to coordinate with Governance, Internal Audit and External Auditors.
• Experience developing governance artifacts and risk/controls documentation.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate SOX compliance activities across IT and business projects.
• Assess project scope for SOX applicability and align with control requirements.
• Serve as liaison between project teams, SOX Governance, Internal Audit, Compliance and auditors.
• Conduct periodic reviews and support DE and OE assessments.
• Identify, document, and track deficiencies, gaps, remediation plans.
• Facilitate audit readiness activities and evidence collection.
• Maintain governance artifacts (RACI, RAID logs, schedules, forecasts).
• Ensure PMO governance and regulatory compliance.
