Job summary

Withum is seeking an experienced IT Internal Controls Audit Lead/Manager to join our Risk Advisory practice. You will support SOX compliance, ICFR, ITGC and COSO framework assessments for clients, guiding teams through planning, testing and documentation.

The role can be based in multiple U.S. offices including New York, Princeton, Whippany, East Brunswick, Red Bank, or Buffalo, with a hybrid in-office schedule (3 days in). A strong background in SOX consulting and PCAOB readiness is preferred.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Accounting or Finance required.
• CPA, CFA, CISA or other equivalent certifications preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience in a public accounting firm or SOX consulting.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist planning and testing of General IT Controls and ICFR.
• Perform ITGC walkthroughs and Application Controls.
• Assist integrated audit teams with control documentation and risk assessment.
• Support SOX consulting projects and readiness activities.
• Draw informed opinions on the adequacy and effectiveness of SOX controls.
• Review work papers and summarize evidentiary data and conclusions.
• Identify and evaluate complex business and technology risks and controls.
• Facilitate use of tools to assess design and operating effectiveness.
