Job summary

Blommer Chocolate Company in Chicago, IL is seeking a seasoned SOX Auditor to join our corporate Audit team. You will lead SOX tests across entity-level controls, procurement-to-pay, and inventory, and help maintain audit-ready documentation.

The role requires 3+ years of SOX/internal audit experience, COSO knowledge, and a CPA/CIA preferred. Travel up to 30% to plant and corporate locations; base salary range $90k–$110k with a discretionary annual bonus.

Qualifications

• 3+ years SOX or internal audit experience; strong understanding of COSO and business processes
• Preferred: CPA/CIA
• Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Build strong working relationships with plant and corporate process owners while coordinating SOX compliance activities, walkthroughs, evidence requests, control documentation, remediation efforts, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Perform testing across entity-level controls, order-to-cash, procurement-to-pay, accounting and reporting, inventory, and fixed assets.
• Prepare and maintain audit-ready documentation supporting testing and compliance activities.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to remediate control deficiencies, validate corrective actions, and support sustainable process improvements.
• Maintain and enhance control documentation, narratives, flowcharts, and standard operating procedures.
• Travel: Up to 30% to plant and corporate locations to support walkthroughs, process observations, relationship building, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
