Job summary

EVgo seeks a seasoned SOX professional to independently own the SOX 404 program for assigned processes, coordinating with internal and external auditors on testing, remediation, and control design. You will mentor junior staff, review work products, and drive remediation plans with clear timelines.

The role requires 8+ years of related experience and a Bachelor’s degree, with CPA or equivalent certification preferred. Up to 10% travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 6 years with a Master's; or a PhD with 3 years.
• CPA or equivalent professional certification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley requirements, including internal controls design and remediation.
• Excellent project management skills to prioritize competing deliverables.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Lead annual process control assessments, including risk, materiality, scoping, documentation, walkthroughs and testing.
• Coordinate with Internal and External Audit on testing, requests, and fieldwork.
• Evaluate deficiencies and recommend remediation conclusions.
• Own SOX documentation design and maintenance (policies, procedures, narratives, flowcharts, control matrices).
• Develop remediation plans with timelines and testing.
• Assess system changes to ensure controls address new risks.
• Manage quarterly control certifications and evidence collection.
• Identify and propose SOX best practices to leadership.
• Mentor junior analysts on testing methods and AuditBoard.
