Job summary

Allied Resources Technical Consultants is seeking a Compliance Assurance Analyst for a client in Waltham, MA. The role focuses on SOX testing, auditing, compliance assurance, and controls testing, collaborating across business teams to identify risks, evaluate controls, and support remediation efforts.

You will perform 2nd/3rd line testing, assess control effectiveness, document findings, and help develop practical corrective actions.

Qualifications

• Experience with SOX testing, auditing, risk assessment, or internal controls.
• Ability to identify findings, assess impact, and contribute to remediation planning.
• Strong writing and documentation skills.
• Collaborative and able to engage with business users, managers, cross-functional teams.
• Exposure to governance, risk management, or internal audit functions is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform 2nd and 3rd line compliance and controls testing.
• Execute SOX control testing and assess effectiveness of internal controls.
• Evaluate assigned controls and determine whether they adequately mitigate identified risks.
• Identify control gaps, document findings, and support remediation efforts.
• Partner with business stakeholders to develop practical, sustainable corrective action plans.
• Assist with drafting reports, findings, and compliance-related documentation.
• Review business processes and provide recommendations for strengthening control environments.
• Engage with managers and business partners to gather information, ask insightful questions, and validate control effectiveness.
• Support the monitoring of remediation efforts to ensure long-term resolution of identified issues.
• Collaborate closely with team members in a highly interactive and team-oriented environment.
