Job summary

Duchess is seeking team members for Southwest Columbus and surrounding areas to join our retail crew. This role focuses on delivering a great customer experience, handling transactions, and maintaining a clean store environment.

Open to FT & PT positions with flexible shifts. Prior retail or food service experience is a plus, but not required. Join a family-owned team with growth potential and comprehensive benefits.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety, tobacco, alcohol, lottery and other compliance rules
• Promote rewards programs to customers and use tech to assist customers

Your Role in Creating a Great Customer Experience

For over 60 years, Duchess Team Members have been more than just cashiers— they’ve been community connectors who ensure customers have everything they need for a smooth day. We’re looking for friendly, motivated individuals who love helping others and want to be part of something great.

What You’ll Do

Welcome customers with a smile and friendly conversation

Process transactions efficiently using modern POS systems (cash, credit, debit, mobile payments)

Maintain a clean and organized store— inside and out

Stock shelves and manage inventory to ensure customers find what they need

Follow safety and compliance regulations for tobacco, alcohol, lottery and other sales

Promote Duchess Crown Card Rewards our loyalty program offering the best prices and offers to customers

Use technology to assist customers, track inventory, and improve efficiency

• Other Qualifications include, but are not limited to walking, standing, squatting, lifting, carrying, and reaching. Ability to work in demanding circumstances including variable temperatures, indoors and outdoors.
