Job summary

Kelly Education is seeking substitute teachers to support classrooms across districts. You will step in for the regular teacher, deliver lessons, and help students stay engaged with the existing plans.

Qualifications

  • 60 College Credit and 2.0+ GPA required.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

  • Lead instruction in the classroom following the teacher’s lesson plans and school rules.
  • Instruct students on a variety of classroom topics/courses.
  • Build positive relationships with students.
  • Assign reasonable tasks and homework.
  • Motivate students to learn and participate in class.
  • Create a learning environment conducive to student growth and appropriate for their maturity.
  • Adapt to diverse learning styles of students.
  • For long-term assignments, develop lesson plans and create, administer, and grade tests and assignments.

Responsibilities:
  • Assume duties of the classroom teacher in accordance with school district lesson plans, school rules, and Kelly policies. This includes:
  • Leading instruction in the classroom by conducting the teacher’s existing lesson plans
  • Instructing students on a variety of classroom topics/courses
  • Building positive relationships
  • Assigning reasonable tasks and homework
  • Motivate students to learn, and encourage classroom participation
  • Create a classroom environment that’s conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of students
  • Adapt to the various learning styles of students
  • For long-term assignments, it may be required to develop lessons plans, as well as create, administer, and grade tests and assignments Minimum requirements:
  • 60 College Credit AND 2.0+ GPA (Official Transcript sent from your school or transcript service).
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • MI Substitute Teaching Permit, or MI Teaching Certificate.
