Southern NH Health System - Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room - Full Time

Who We Are

SNHMC has nine operating room suites, 25 pre-op/PACU bays, and a sterile processing department. Hours are flexible, with 8-, 10-, and 12-hour day shifts available. The OR has a dedicated call team Sunday through Thursday nights beginning at 7PM, making OR call minimal. Services include neurological, orthopedic, gynecological, urological, bariatric, colorectal, vascular, ENT, general, breast, and plastics surgeries. We utilize the latest technology and offer Periop-101 and other advancements.

About The Job

As a member of the Patient Care Services team, the OR RN cares for patients aged 6 months through adulthood undergoing surgical or invasive procedures under various types of anesthesia. The role emphasizes a patient-centered approach, teamwork, evidence-based practices, and the use of data and technology to improve safety and outcomes.

What Youll Do

  • Deliver nursing care using a patient-centered approach.
  • Work collaboratively to achieve quality outcomes.
  • Implement current best practices and evidence-based care.
  • Utilize data to enhance quality and safety.
  • Use informatics and technology to communicate, manage information, and support decision making.

Who You Are

  • Graduate from an accredited school with an ASN.
  • Registered Nurse in NH or a compact state.
  • Maintain professional practice and stay current through conferences.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Achieve the following competencies within specified timelines:
    • 30 Days: BLS certification.
    • 90 Days: Safe Care, Surgical Equipment Handling, Aseptic Technique, OR Equipment Setup.
    • 180 Days: Circulating in specialized surgeries, including robotics.
