About The Job

As a member of the Patient Care Services team, the Emergency Services (ES) Registered Nurse cares for pediatric and adult patients presenting with various illnesses, injuries, or trauma. The ES RN assesses, intervenes, and stabilizes patients requiring critical clinical decision-making. The RN completes a competency-based orientation to serve the Emergency Services patient population proficiently.

  • Assess and implement priority-based nursing care, establishing goals to meet patient needs.
  • Integrate patient values, best practices, and evidence into care.
  • Engage patients and families in the care process.
  • Function within your scope of practice.
  • Communicate effectively to meet team and situation needs.
  • Delegate activities to the care team.
  • Collaborate with other disciplines for comprehensive care.
Who You Are
  • Graduate from an accredited nursing school (ASN or BSN).
  • Licensed RN in NH.
  • Minimum 1 year recent ED experience.
  • Achieve competencies in BLS (within 30 days), IV Therapy and Stroke Management (within 90 days), ACLS, Rhythm Interpretation, Critical Care Medications (within 180 days), PALS or Pediatric Certification (within 1 year), Trauma Nurse Certification and Triage Nurse (within 2 years), and Advanced Stroke Life Support (within 3 years).
