About The Job

As a member of the Patient Care Services team, the Emergency Services (ES) Registered Nurse cares for pediatric and adult patients presenting with a variety of illnesses, injuries, or trauma. The ES RN specializes in assessing, intervening, and stabilizing patients requiring critical clinical decision-making skills. The registered nurse completes a competency-based orientation to serve the Emergency Services patient population proficiently.

What You’ll Do
  • Assess and implement priority-based nursing care, establishing goals to meet patient needs.
  • Integrate patient values, best practices, and evidence into care.
  • Engage patients and families in the care process.
  • Function within your scope of practice.
  • Use effective communication styles to meet team and situation needs.
  • Delegate care activities to the patient care team.
  • Collaborate with other disciplines to provide comprehensive care.
Who You Are
  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing (ASN or BSN).
  • Licensed Registered Nurse in NH.
  • Minimum 1 year recent ED experience as a Registered Nurse.
  • Achieve competencies in BLS within 30 days, IV Therapy and Stroke Management within 90 days, ACLS, Rhythm Interpretation, Critical Care Medications, Procedural Sedation within 180 days, PALS or Pediatric Certification within 1 year, Trauma Nurse Certification and Triage Nurse within 2 years, and Advanced Stroke Life Support within 3 years.
