About the Job

As a member of the Patient Care Services team, the 4 East Registered Nurse provides comprehensive and compassionate nursing care to adolescent and adult patients with a variety of medical and surgical diagnoses, specializing in cardiac patients, cardiac invasive procedures, and telemetry monitoring. The nurse completes a competency-based orientation to serve the 4 East patient population effectively.

Responsibilities
  1. Assess and implement priority-based nursing care, establishing goals to meet patient needs.
  2. Integrate patient values, best practices, and evidence into care.
  3. Engage patients and families in the care process.
  4. Operate within the scope of practice competently.
  5. Utilize effective communication styles to meet team and situational needs.
Qualifications
  • Graduate from an accredited nursing school (ADN or BSN).
  • Licensed Registered Nurse in NH.
  • Achieve competencies in:
    • Basic Life Support (within 30 days).
    • Intravenous Therapy and Central Line Management (within 90 days).
    • Basic Rhythm Interpretation/Telemetry Monitoring (within 180 days).
    • Critical Care Medications and Infusions, Post-Vascular Access Care, Peritoneal Dialysis (within 1 year).
    • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (within 18 months).
