About the Job

As a member of the Patient Care Services team, the ICU Registered Nurse utilizes advanced skills to care for patients aged 1 year through adulthood who are critically ill and at high risk for life-threatening health problems. The registered nurse completes a competency-based orientation program to become proficient in serving the ICU patient population.

Responsibilities

• Delivers nursing care using a patient-centered approach and the Professional Practice Model.
• Provides care through teamwork and collaboration to achieve quality outcomes.
• Implements best practices and evidence-based care for optimal health outcomes.
• Uses data to improve quality and safety.
• Incorporates informatics and technology to communicate, manage information, reduce errors, and support decision-making.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program (ADN/BSN).
• RN license in NH or a compact state.
• Minimum of one year ICU RN experience.
• Ability to achieve required competencies within specified timeframes, including BLS, IV therapy, mechanical ventilation, procedural sedation, rhythm interpretation, critical care meds management, hemodynamic monitoring, ACLS, intra-aortic balloon pump, and rapid response team responder.
