Join us as a Clinical Lab Assistant / Phlebotomist (Travel) at Southern New Hampshire Health. This role involves performing specimen collection, patient registration, and laboratory tasks across various departments.

About the Job

The Specimen Processor/Phlebotomist (Travel) performs duties including patient registration, specimen collection, processing, and documentation according to Laboratory protocol.

Responsibilities
  1. Collect, receive, and sort specimens.
  2. Perform blood draws with proper technique and ensure accurate patient identification.
  3. Record patient information and laboratory orders accurately into information systems.
  4. Handle laboratory tasks such as centrifuging, labeling, and specimen storage.
  5. Prepare specimens for testing, including building worklists and checking specimen integrity.
  6. Maintain competency in all phlebotomy procedures.
  7. Perform phlebotomy at nursing homes, outpatient, inpatient, Emergency Department, and transport specimens via motor vehicle.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Phlebotomy Certification preferred.
  • 1-3 years of laboratory experience preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and proof of automobile insurance required.
  • Motor vehicle background check will be conducted.
