Clinical Lab Assistant – Call Center Coordinator

Who We Are:

Southern New Hampshire Medical Center’s Laboratory (lab) is a fully accredited hospital laboratory. State-of-the-art technology enables doctors to provide our patients with the most accurate diagnoses and the most effective treatment.

About the Job:

Greets and assists patient and customer population. Receives incoming calls and performs outgoing phone calls for the Laboratory. Verbally provides test results with accuracy and clarity. Assists in Central Processing.

What You’ll Do:

  • Greets and assists patient and customer population.
  • Receives incoming requests for Laboratory Services and directs appropriately, following Laboratory and HIPAA Guidelines
  • Notifies physicians, physician office staff, and appropriate hospital departments of Laboratory results.
  • Performs patient registrations and laboratory order placement.
  • Reviews Laboratory information Systems printers and fax logs.
  • Presents a positive attitude for the Hospital and Laboratory.
  • Participates in department meetings, e-mail review and follows HIPAA, safety, and accreditation requirements.

Who You Are:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 1-3 years of Laboratory experience preferred.
  • Computer proficiency required. Excellent customer service skills. Problem solving skills.
  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English. Ability to maintain confidential information.
  • Detail oriented, flexible, and adaptable to changes. Ability to multi-task. Ability to work independently and make appropriate decisions following Laboratory guidelines.
