Job summary

Scoot Education is seeking a substitute teacher to support students in classrooms, hallways, and cafeterias. You will help maintain a safe, inclusive learning environment and follow lesson plans to manage routines and behavior throughout the day.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's or higher and a teaching credential or 30-Day Substitute Teaching Permit where required. Training, support, and competitive hourly pay are provided, with W-2 employment and state background checks covered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher and/or college credits required.
• State & federal background checks required.
• Three professional references, including at least one from a previous supervisor.
• Teaching credential/certificate or 30-Day Substitute Teaching Permit preferred or required in some districts.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support students in classroom, playground, or cafeteria.
• Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment.
• Manage classroom routines, behavior, and transitions with provided lesson plans.
• Communicate clearly with school staff and leave notes for the returning teacher.

Daily Pay Range:

Pay will vary forday-to-day assignments and is typicallymore for long-term placements.Pay varies by certification, school, and assignment.

Role Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree, associate's degree or college credits
