Qualifications

• At least 10 years of relevant professional experience in conservation or related field.
• Demonstrated commitment to environmental conservation and collaboration, equity, and meaningful results.
• Proven ability to build partnerships with diverse stakeholders and secure funding.

Responsibilities

• Lead regional leadership and manage a geographically distributed team.
• Develop and implement a cohesive regional strategy aligned with the organization’s broader plan.
• Oversee regional river restoration and protection projects and advocacy campaigns.
• Plan and monitor budgets, expenditures, and administrative tasks at regional level.
• Lead fundraising efforts with individual, foundation, government, and institutional donors.
• Build and maintain relationships with conservation agencies, nonprofits, community leaders, funders, regulators, and elected officials.
• Serve as regional spokesperson to boost visibility and advance the river conservation movement.
• Coordinate with national programs to align regional priorities with national strategies.
• Engage volunteers and supporters through a regional River Council.
