Job summary

American Driver is seeking an experienced truck driver for a Southeast regional route covering FL, GA, AL, MS, and LA. The role offers consistent weekly home time and a built-in 34-hour reset to recharge between trips.

You will be the face customers see at each stop, ensuring professional representation of the company while delivering 1,600 miles per week on average with 3 loads weekly. Paid training and strong driver support are included.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Class A CDL issued by a single state for at least 12 consecutive months.
• Minimum 3 months tractor-trailer (40ft+) experience within the last 36 months.
• No more than 2 moving violations in the last 2 years and no preventable CMV accidents in the last 5 years.
• Must pass hair follicle and urine drug tests and a DOT physical.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the face of the company at stops along the Southeast regional lanes (FL, GA, AL, MS, LA).
• Operate 100% touch freight with live unloads at retail stores.
• Maintain safety and compliance while delivering consistent miles and schedules.

Pay and Scheduling Breakdown:

• Average weekly gross $1,600+, top earners $1,800+ ($83k annually, top earners $93k+)
• CPM $0.55 to $0.58 based on verifiable experience

• $50 backhaul pay
• $2,000 sign-on bonus: $500 after 1st load, $500 after 30 days, $1,000 after 60 days

Freight & Equipment:

• 100% touch freight, live unloads at FD stores using rollers
• Average 1,600 miles and 3 loads per week
• Runs International, Freightliner, and Kenworth tractors
• Early AM deliveries, 1 to 6 stops per day, may include nights, weekends, and holidays

Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years old with a valid Class A CDL, issued by only one state and held for the last 12 consecutive months
• Minimum 3 months tractor-trailer (40ft+) experience in the last 36 months, or qualify via Extended Road Test
• No more than 2 moving violations in the last 2 years, no more than 3 jobs in the last 12 months
• No preventable CMV accidents in the last 5 years
• No DUI/DWI within the past 10 years if CDL-A was held at the time of offense (5 years if prior)
• Must pass hair follicle and urine drug testing and a DOT physical
