The Coffee Oasis: Who We Are

The Coffee Oasis is a Christian non-profit organization that exists to create pathways of opportunity for youth to be restored in heart, soul, mind, and body. We believe youth are the future of our community, but many are hurting, homeless, and hindered from living to their full potential. The Coffee Oasis youth programs offer a place for the community to invest in their future-the youth.

We do this through creating safe shared spaces, mentorship, street and school outreach, goal setting, job training, shelter, and crisis services. The cafés offer a "third place" for the community to gather and buy products with the added value of all profits returning to create opportunities for youth.

A day in the life as Crisis Navigator

No two days as a Crisis Navigator look exactly the same. Your day may include checking in with youth you've built relationships with, responding to a youth in crisis, helping someone connect with resources, or meeting with a community partner. You'll spend time in schools and throughout the community building relationships, providing prevention and early intervention, and finding new ways to connect with youth before challenges become bigger crises.

You'll also lead support groups and Life Skills classes, participate in community outreach events and partner meetings, and work alongside The Coffee Oasis team to help youth build healthy skills and make positive choices. Throughout the day, you'll have opportunities to encourage young people, recognize their strengths, and help them feel supported and connected.
