Our client is seeking a Superintendent to oversee ground-up commercial projects throughout Burlington and Mercer County. This individual will manage daily field operations, subcontractors, schedules, safety, and quality from sitework through project closeout.

Our client is an established New Jersey general contractor and developer with a diverse portfolio of ground-up commercial construction. The company manages projects from early planning and preconstruction through construction, delivery, and final turnover.

Their portfolio includes retail, office, self-storage, restaurant, childcare, and other commercial projects. They are looking for a Superintendent who can take ownership of the field and successfully deliver ground-up projects.

Description

Manage daily field operations on ground-up construction projects.

Oversee subcontractors, vendors, and onsite personnel.

Maintain project schedules and coordinate upcoming activities.

Lead projects from sitework through final completion.

Coordinate inspections and ensure work meets project requirements.

Monitor jobsite safety and enforce company safety standards.

Conduct regular site meetings with subcontractors and project teams.

Work closely with Project Managers throughout construction.

Review drawings, specifications, RFIs, and project documentation.

Use Procore to manage field documentation and project communication.

Identify field issues and develop solutions to avoid project delays.

Maintain quality standards throughout all phases of construction.

Coordinate project punch lists and final closeout activities.

Provide regular progress updates to the project team.

Profile

Ground-up commercial construction experience is required.

Proven experience working as a Construction Superintendent.

Procore experience is strongly preferred.

Experience managing projects from sitework through closeout.

Strong knowledge of commercial construction means and methods.

Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and trades onsite.

Strong understanding of construction plans and specifications.

Excellent scheduling and subcontractor coordination skills.

Knowledge of jobsite safety and quality control standards.

Strong communication and leadership skills.

Able to commute throughout Burlington and Mercer County.

Local candidates are strongly preferred.
