The Salvation Army Kroc Center is seeking an Afterschool Program Counselor to support a safe, engaging environment for local youth. You will lead activities, build positive relationships with families, and help create daily programming aligned with the center’s vision.
The role is part-time (19 hrs/week) with a 2:00 PM–6:00 PM schedule, Monday–Friday, and some holiday variations. Starting pay is $14 per hour, with potential flexibility for homeschool slots.

Schedule Hours:Monday – Friday from 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM.Homeschool schedule is 10:00 AM to 2:00 pm on Wednesday only. (Must be able to work some holidays as needed; hours of operation may vary.)
Job Summary
The purpose of the Afterschool Program Counselor is to be the face of the Kroc Center to the youth of the community and to the parents of the youth. The Afterschool Program Counselor will be a trustworthy conduit through which parents and youth can connect to the center. They will connect and lead the youth in the afterschool programs at the Kroc Center while helping to create and implement new daily programming based on their skill set and fulfill the vision of the Kroc Center. The Afterschool Program Counselor will collaborate with the Fine Arts and Education Director to help see through the vision of the afterschool program.
