SeoulSpice Korean Kitchen in Chicago is seeking a dedicated Sous Chef to lead protein prep and support the Kitchen Leader in back-of-house operations. You’ll ensure the line stays stocked with fresh, high-quality food and help manage production to align with demand, while supporting the front line during service and digital orders.

The Sous Chef’s primary responsibility is to cook our proteins and support the Kitchen Leader in managing the back of house. You’ll keep the front line stocked with fresh, high-quality food throughout the day, preparing the right amount at the right time so that we never run out while minimizing excess and waste. You’ll stay aware of sales volume, communicate closely with the front line, and adjust production as business levels change. You’ll also support the front line by serving guests and expediting digital orders.
Applicants must be at least 18 years old. This position requires availability based on the restaurant’s needs, which may include mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. This is an active, hands-on kitchen position. Sous Chefs must be able to perform the essential duties of the role, with or without reasonable accommodation. These duties may include:
