Sous Chef –One of the UK’s greatest Spotting Venues

Location: Northamptonshire

Salary - £39,500



You must have a full UK driving License and access to a vehicle



Your Role



As Sous Chef, you’ll be a key player in creating an exceptional, modern culinary experience that reflects the energy and excellence of this venue. Working closely with the Head Chef, you'll lead kitchen operations, inspire and support the team, and help shape an exciting menu



Key Responsibilities




  • Support the Head Chef in day-to-day kitchen management, ensuring consistency in quality, taste, and presentation.

  • Set the standard – lead by example and foster a professional, motivating kitchen environment.

  • Oversee smooth service, particularly during busy periods and key events.

  • Mentor and develop junior chefs, building a culture of teamwork and growth.

  • Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure flawless guest experiences. Maintain the highest culinary standards, ensuring dishes reflect our premium ethos.

  • Contribute to menu design and seasonal updates with creativity and innovation.

  • Strictly manage allergens and dietary requirements to provide confidence and care for all guests.

  • Assist with inventory control, supplier management, and cost-effective procurement.

  • Control portion control and stock levels to balance quality with minimal waste.

  • Ensure the kitchen adheres to all food hygiene and safety regulations.

  • Train and monitor the team in best practices to maintain a clean, efficient, and safe working environment.

  • Keep up with food trends and techniques to stay ahead of the curve.

  • Help deliver on key targets, including guest satisfaction, food costs, and team performance.



What We’re Looking For




  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a Sous Chef in a high-end restaurant, luxury hotel

  • Food Safety Level 2 and 3 (or willingness to complete)

  • A strong guest-focused mindset with attention to detail

  • Confident team leader who thrives under pressure

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Well-presented with exceptional hygiene and grooming standards

  • Full, clean UK driving licence
