Hai Hospitality (Uchi, Uchiko, and Uchiba) is accepting applications for an experienced Sous Chef. Uchi Charlotte is coming soon! We are currently accepting applications for candidates who can temporarily relocate to one of our existing markets to train with us (lodging included). Training is available in Austin, TX (preferred), Houston, TX, Dallas, TX, Miami, FL, Denver, CO, Scottsdale, AZ, West Hollywood, CA.

What You’ll Do In This Role
  • Motivate, mentor, and develop a culinary team of cooks and chefs
  • Manage culinary standards in a high-volume, scratch kitchen
  • Assist and float through all kitchen stations
  • Cook great food in a modern kitchen
  • Handle ordering, scheduling, inventory, and administrative duties

  • Effective communication with guests and team members
  • Ability to identify safety issues and follow safety standards
  • Lift and carry trays, dishes, and equipment up to 50 lbs; restock inventory
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods
  • Work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Work in hot and cold temperatures
  • Use kitchen equipment safely and effectively
