Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Exhibit conduct in accordance with all Gaming Commission Regulations, Federal and State laws and regulations, and Golden Nugget and departmental policies and procedures.
- Consistently deliver positive, courteous, and professional guest service in all interactions with guests, visitors, vendors, and fellow employees.
- Demonstrate a commitment to ensuring responsible gaming and responsible alcohol service.
- Assist the Chef with food preparation in the assigned outlet.
- Supervise line staff and oversee the preparation of all foods.
- Instruct kitchen personnel on food preparation techniques.
- Coordinate with line employees to ensure all orders placed by Food Servers are prepared correctly, garnished properly, and served timely according to established standards.
- Assist with implementing culinary labor and cost controls.
- Participate in hiring or termination decisions in conjunction with disciplinary actions.
- Perform duties as assigned, always presenting oneself as a credit to the Golden Nugget and encouraging others to do the same.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
Education, Experience, and Skills Required:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Three (3) years of experience in food preparation required.
- Previous experience as a chef required.
- Good organizational skills necessary.
