Job Summary

As a Sous Chef II, you will assist with the overall success of the food program and oversee culinary functions. Responsibilities include planning, ordering, inventory, and food preparation, adhering to client culture, health regulations, and company standards. You will motivate, train, develop, and direct back-of-house staff to meet operational goals and ensure customer satisfaction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assist in preparing and cooking various food items.
  • Help plan and create menus.
  • Implement new culinary programs with the marketing and culinary teams.
  • Manage cost controls and expenditures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • 3 years of related culinary experience, including 1 year in a supervisory role.
  • Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, healthcare, or related food services.
  • Knowledge of food trends, quality, sanitation, safety, and food cost controls.
  • Ability to set up and manage production sheets.
  • Leadership, training, management, and coaching skills.
  • ServSafe or Department of Health Certification preferred.
  • Computer skills, including MS Office and Excel.
  • Associate’s degree in Culinary Arts preferred.
