Job Summary

As a Sous Chef II, you will assist in the success of the food program and oversee culinary functions. Responsibilities include planning, ordering, inventory, and food preparation while adhering to client culture, health regulations, and company standards. You will motivate, train, develop, and direct back-of-house staff to meet operational goals and ensure customer satisfaction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assist in preparing and cooking various food items.
  • Help plan and create menus.
  • Implement new culinary programs with marketing and culinary teams.
  • Manage cost controls and expenditures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • 3 years of related culinary experience, including 1 year in a supervisory or lead role.
  • Experience in various food service environments such as restaurants, hotels, healthcare, etc.
  • Knowledge of food trends, quality, sanitation, safety, and presentation.
  • Ability to set up and manage production sheets.
  • Leadership, training, and management skills.
  • ServSafe or Department of Health Certification preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Associate’s degree in Culinary Arts preferred.
