Position Overview:

A Fearless Restaurants Sous Chef will be positive, professional, creative, and possess natural leadership skills. Our Sous Chefs will significantly impact seasonal menu development. We seek individuals who are energized to come to work daily, inspire and mentor their team, and push for organization, professionalism, and attention to detail. We value those who seek constant growth and never settle.

Skills and Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of professional cooking experience
  • Professional demeanor with a calm temperament
  • Passion for working with purveyors and local farmers
  • Advanced knife handling skills
  • Strong leadership abilities
  • Current ServSafe Certification or PA Food Handlers permit
  • Creativity in developing new menu items
  • Solid cooking skills and techniques
  • Ability to confidently work all stations, including expo
  • Ability to prepare nutritious and imaginative family meals
  • Food budgeting and cost control skills
  • Knowledge of food safety standards
  • Experience in staff education and training

Salary and Benefits:

  • Premium PPO health and dental insurance through Independence Blue Cross
  • Paid time off: 15 days (years 1-4), 20 days (year 5+)
  • Workweek: 50-55 hours with two consecutive days off
  • Salary range: $55,000 - $70,000, with potential bonuses up to $6,000 annually
